Here is a list of things you can do to better your skin care routine and deal with acne.

*Don't wash skin surface more than necessary

Over washing can stimulate the production of sebum and lead to clogged pores. Sebum production will also increase with facial scrubbing.

*Use a honey mask on your face

*Keep the hair out of your face

Your hair has oils will easily transfer to your face and contribute to breakouts. You might want to wash your hair everyday and after workouts.

*Avoid picking or squeezing pimples

Most people have the bad habit of picking at their pimples. If you are one of these people then you should stop! Picking at your pimples can also increase sebum production. Another reason to stop popping pimples, is that when you break the skin you increase the possibility of infection.

*Don't wear makeup to bed

For starters, makeup is not an essential part of skin care. In fact, it can irritate your skin and clog your pores. So, before going to bed make sure you remove all traces of makeup to allow your skin to breathe and restore itself properly.

*Don't forget your vitamins or your chromium supplements

A vitamin deficiency can cause acne. So, before having a vitamin deficient body make sure that you are getting plenty of vitamins. Chromium, on the other hand, an help the skin heal itself quickly.

A balanced diet is also considered an excellent biological acne cure. As a matter of fact, your dermatologist will probably recommend some dietary changes in addition to traditional acne creams.

Vitamin A reduces sebum production and strengthens the protective tissue of the skin. That's why it is commonly used as an acne remedy. Carrots, spinach and calf liver are all high in vitamin A.

Zinc is an antibacterial agent that helps fight off infection. You can get zinc from meat products like beef, turkey, chicken and even lobsters and crabmeat. If you are a vegetarian, you can get this mineral from wholegrain foods, brown rice, potatoes and peanuts.

*Wash your pillowcase often

Your pillowcase can quickly absorb oils from your face and redistribute them. In order to keep this from causing any problems, you should was your pillowcase and bed sheets once or twice a week.

All of these steps plus a rigorous cleansing routine constitute the perfect acne cure.
